What to Expect for HDB Residents?

Before commencing the installation, NetLink Trust’s appointed contractors will consult you on the best way for the optical fibre to enter your home from the corridor.

New surface trunking will be installed along the common corridor to house the optical fibre cable and a new ingress point will be drilled to bring the fibre cable into your home.

NetLink Trust’s appointed contractor will seek your approval before installing the cable.

Approximately 2 NetLink Trust appointed contractors will be involved in the installation. Each installation session should take about 2 hours.

Once the optical fibre reaches your home from the outside, NetLink Trust only provides surface trunking as a standard for its fibre installation. Home owners have to engage their own contractor for concealment of cable or usage of non standard trunking

  • NetLink Trust’s appointed contractor will install the cables by using the nylon rope to pull in the fibre via the conduit. Please note that NetLink Trust’s appointed contractor will only return to install this within 1 month of your first engagement with NetLink Trust.

d) Existing trunking

  • Homeowner who chooses to use their existing trunking will be asked to indemnify NetLink Trust’s appointed contractor against any damages to existing cablings and/or interruption to existing services.
